1.2 million blog posts per day

A new report from Technorati makes what I'd call the understatement of the year: "The state of the blogosphere is strong." Dave Sifry reports that his firm now tracks 35.3 million weblogs, and that the blogosphere doubles in size about every six months. The blogosphere is more than 60 times larger than it was 3 years ago. Technorati tracks over 1.2 million blog posts per day, or 50,000 posts per hour.
