Is print dead?

Are printed newsletters still worth the cost? This morning I briefly discussed that with Ron Dietel at UCLA’s CRESST. Printing is expensive. Mailing is expensive. But some people prefer to receive hard copy. Although WCER still accepts requests for printed copies of its (free) quarterly newsletter, WCER Research Highlights, I usually encourage people to sign up for the e-newsletter, WCER Today, which contains brief digests and which points readers to our website for more information. So we compromise. I’d enjoy hearing from education communicators who are considering the ‘print vs. electronic’ issue.
